We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our busy warehouse in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for meticulously checking, documenting, and organizing all deliveries. Your accuracy is paramount to maintaining our inventory integrity and ensuring smooth logistics operations. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be instrumental in verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and accurately inputting received goods into our system. The role involves some physical activity, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Adherence to all safety standards, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is crucial for your well-being and that of your colleagues. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect shipments for any damages or discrepancies and report them immediately.
- Accurately record all received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received inventory for proper storage.
- Organize received goods in designated staging areas.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
