We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Huntsville, Alabama. You will manage a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and support. This position requires a deep understanding of logistics and warehouse management best practices. A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment is crucial, including enforcing the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, managing inventory, optimizing workflow, and meeting performance targets. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling, managing inventory levels, ensuring order accuracy, and maintaining facility organization. We are seeking a proactive leader who can drive continuous improvement and foster a positive team culture. This is a key leadership position within our operations, critical to the success of our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Train new employees on warehouse operations and safety protocols.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Manage staff scheduling and performance.
- Address operational issues and implement solutions promptly.
- Coordinate with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ability to assist with lifting and other physical tasks as needed, up to 50 lbs.
