Our busy distribution center in Cincinnati, Ohio, is looking for an experienced and certified Reach Truck Operator to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be involved in both put-away and replenishment processes, ensuring that inventory is stored correctly and accessible. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be integral to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight, ensuring proper placement and security.
- Perform accurate put-away and replenishment of inventory items.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on the reach truck and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways and proper racking.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with full inventory checks.
- Accurately record movement of goods using warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanners.
- Follow all guidelines related to lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck, with valid certification preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including frequent lifting and movement.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and the importance of proper PPE.
- Ability to read and interpret product labels and order information.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
