Become a key player in our supply chain as a Receiving Clerk at our vibrant Miami, Florida facility! You will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all shipments. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly. You’ll work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and inventory control teams to ensure all deliveries are processed efficiently and correctly. We are committed to providing a safe and productive workplace, emphasizing the importance of safety procedures and the use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label received goods for proper storage.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any delivery issues or discrepancies.
- Report any damaged or missing items immediately.
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and scanning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, including frequent lifting, carrying, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
