Traditional Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role involves overseeing HVAC service operations, diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, and providing leadership to the service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to mentor and support junior technicians.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Lead, train, and mentor service technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units.
* Perform system inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs.
* Communicate with customers to explain diagnoses, recommended repairs, and maintenance options.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
* Assist in scheduling and coordinating service calls to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate service records, including job details, parts used, and customer interactions.
* Stay up to date with industry advancements and new HVAC technologies.
*Qualifications:*
* Minimum of 6 years of experience as an HVAC service technician, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
* EPA Section 608 Certification required; additional HVAC certifications are a plus.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
* Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical labor as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
