Experienced Automotive Mechanic

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Candidates with dealership experience, welding skills, and familiarity with schematics will be preferred. The position involves working with various tools and equipment to ensure vehicles are repaired efficiently and safely, maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and modifications
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately
• Assemble and disassemble vehicle components with precision
• Lift heavy parts or vehicles safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
• Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and estimated timelines

Qualifications

• Proven mechanic experience, preferably within a dealership environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively
• Experience with vehicle assembly and disassembly processes
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
• Prior experience in automotive repair or maintenance is highly desirable
