Sr. Director, Medical Affairs – Immunology

We are seeking a strategic Medical Affairs leader to drive therapeutic area (TA) strategy and support the launch and commercialization of immunology products. This role leads the medical strategy across brands, partners cross-functionally, and manages a high-performing team, including Scientific Advisors/Directors and an MSL Manager (with a field MSL team).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the Immunology medical strategy across the portfolio.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support peri-launch, launch, and ongoing commercialization activities.
• Serve as medical lead for TA medical plans, life cycle strategies, scientific communications, and medical governance.
• Coach, develop, and manage a team of medical leaders and MSLs, fostering a culture of collaboration, scientific excellence, and inclusion.
• Ensure efficient resource allocation, capability building, and strong cross-functional partnerships.
• Support compliance, medical training, funding requests (grants/sponsorship), and alignment with corporate policies.

Requirements

• PhD, MD, or equivalent in a scientific/medical discipline.
• 8+ years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in Immunology (dermatology, gastroenterology, rheumatology) strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel and work in a hybrid model (approx. 50% onsite in Toronto).
