Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab is a locally owned, rapidly growing outpatient orthopedic practice committed to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and building a world-class team of physical therapists. As we expand and elevate our operations, we are seeking a *Director of Clinical Operations* to lead our clinical team, strengthen systems, and help shape the future of rehabilitation services in the Helena community.
*Position Summary*
The Director of Clinical Operations (DCO) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing clinical quality, productivity, culture, and operational performance across the practice. This individual ensures that Peak PT delivers exceptional patient outcomes, provides consistent mentorship and development for staff, maintains regulatory compliance, and drives operational efficiency while upholding the values and mission of the organization.
This is an ideal role for a high-level clinician or leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and is passionate about leading people, building strong teams, and expanding access to high-quality rehabilitative care.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Clinical Leadership & Culture*
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of physical therapists, assistants, and support staff.
* Maintain a positive, collaborative, and accountability-driven clinic culture aligned with Peak’s mission and values.
* Facilitate regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews.
* Oversee onboarding, training programs, mentorship pathways, and continuing education initiatives.
*Quality of Care*
* Ensure consistent delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered care.
* Oversee clinical documentation standards, outcome measures, and chart compliance.
* Develop and implement clinical protocols, best practices, and quality improvement projects.
* Monitor patient satisfaction and address concerns or barriers to care.
*Operational Excellence*
* Oversee clinic scheduling, workflows, productivity expectations, and caseload balance.
* Partner with the owner and administrative leadership to meet performance goals.
* Assist with staffing decisions, recruiting, and retention strategies.
* Improve operational systems and processes to support growth and efficiency.
*Compliance & Risk Management*
* Ensure adherence to state practice acts, Medicare guidelines, and all payer requirements.
* Maintain HIPAA compliance and safety standards.
*Community & Professional Engagement*
* Help build strong relationships with referring providers, local partners, and community organizations.
* Participate in marketing efforts, workshops, and outreach events that elevate Peak PT’s presence in Helena.
* Represent the organization professionally at all times.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) required; advanced certifications or residency/fellowship training preferred.
* Minimum 3–5 years of outpatient orthopedic experience; prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated excellence in patient care, communication, and team development.
* Strong understanding of outpatient PT operations, productivity standards, and regulatory requirements.
* High emotional intelligence, organizational skill, and passion for developing others.
* Ability to lead in a growing environment and contribute to long-term strategic planning.
