We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Jose, California. This role is critical for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. Maintaining a strong focus on Safety, operational efficiency, and precision is paramount. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a busy warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Proper use of all required PPE.
- Strict adherence to all Lifting and equipment operation safety protocols within Logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations.
