We are hiring a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our busy warehouse facility in Washington, D.C. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming goods are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for checking in shipments, verifying quantities against orders, inspecting for damages, and maintaining meticulous records. A strong commitment to workplace Safety is essential, and you will be trained on proper procedures and the use of all required PPE . The position involves physical tasks, including moderate Lifting and the operation of pallet jacks. As part of our Logistics team, you will contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Accurately input receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for storage or distribution.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety standards, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory control and other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a receiving or warehouse role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics .
- Dedication to maintaining a high level of Safety and correct PPE usage.
