Responsibilities:
- Select items from designated locations accurately according to order specifications.
- Inspect goods for defects prior to packaging.
- Package products using appropriate materials to ensure they arrive undamaged.
- Affix correct shipping labels and any necessary documentation.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and confirm picks.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe, following all warehouse policies.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve team goals and deadlines.
- Adhere to all company safety standards, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Be prepared for tasks that involve lifting and significant physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role within a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to safety and awareness of potential hazards.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet performance metrics.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Experience with warehouse automation or technology is a plus.
