Our Durham, North Carolina facility is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator. This critical role ensures the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve materials, playing a key part in our overall logistics and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, a thorough understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment. Responsibilities include performing daily equipment checks, maintaining accurate inventory counts, and ensuring that all movements are recorded properly. This position requires the ability to handle frequent Lifting and demands strict adherence to all Safety regulations and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
- Load, unload, and move materials from receiving to storage and to shipping areas.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Ensure materials are stored properly and safely.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and company policies.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with verifiable experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
