We are seeking a skilled and experienced Material Handler for our advanced logistics facility in San Jose, California. This role is critical for the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store a variety of goods. Safety is our top priority, and all employees are expected to follow strict protocols, including the proper use of PPE. The ideal candidate possesses strong forklift operating skills, understands warehouse operations, and is committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and stage materials according to warehouse layout and safety standards.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines for PPE usage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency in logistics.
- Perform manual lifting and moving of materials as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler with a valid forklift certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
