We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Seattle, Washington. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring the integrity of our inventory. You will play a key part in receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment processes. A strong commitment to workplace Safety is essential, and you will be required to adhere to all operational guidelines and wear appropriate PPE . The position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of loads, and requires precision and care when operating machinery. Your expertise will be vital to our overall Logistics efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move pallets and materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist in stocking and retrieving inventory.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and audits.
- Ensure proper handling and placement of goods to prevent damage.
- Contribute to the overall smooth functioning of our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures and Safety best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE , including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail and a responsible attitude.
