We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Cincinnati, Ohio facility. This critical role ensures the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage areas, and support shipping and receiving operations. A strong emphasis on safety, precision, and adherence to operational procedures is required. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock placement.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned when not operating a forklift.
- Engage in tasks involving lifting and moving of materials.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and properly using PPE.
- Understanding of general logistics principles.
