We are seeking energetic Picker/Packers for our busy facility in Kansas City, Missouri. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves and packing them securely for shipment. This position is critical to our logistics chain, ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will utilize scanning equipment to manage inventory and track order progress. A strong commitment to safety and efficiency is paramount. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work effectively in a team, and physically capable of performing the required tasks, including regular lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order sheets and scan items into the system.
- Pack items carefully into appropriate boxes or containers, ensuring protection during transit.
- Use hand-held scanners to verify inventory and update order status.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned, such as stocking and replenishment.
- Ability to perform tasks involving regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience is beneficial.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE in a logistics setting.
