*Summary*
We are seeking a Senior Audio Video Technician to join our dynamic team at TEK-IT. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining advanced home automation and audio/video systems that meet our clients' needs. You will be expected to lead other team members by example in performance and conduct training and mentoring. Your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional systems for our customers.
*Responsibilities*
* Implement audio-visual systems for residential and commercial projects.
* Install cabling, hardware, and equipment according to specifications.
* Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate with clients, builders, and subcontractors to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
* Utilize schematics to guide installation processes effectively.
* Conduct field service visits to address technical issues as they arise.
* Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings.
* Provide technical leadership on job sites, mentoring Junior Technicians and maintaining safety and quality standards.
* Document installation progress, changes, and service logs in a timely manner.
*Requirements*
* 3 or more years of experience in the custom integration and audio/video industry.
* Strong knowledge of automation hardware and low voltage systems.
* Familiarity with cabling techniques and installation best practices.
* Ability to use hand tools and follow standard construction methods effectively.
* Must be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, work orders, and technical specification documents.
* Experience with control systems preferred (Control4 and Lutron preferred, Savant and Crestron accepted).
* Basic software troubleshooting skills.
* Basic project management software knowledge required.
*Certifications*
* CTS/CTS-I
* IST
* Control4, Lutron, or similar automation certification
