We are looking for a Senior Pre‑Sales Systems Engineer to join us in the Seattle Washington Area on our Mobility Team. An HPE Networking Pre‑Sales Systems Engineer provides pre‑sales technical sales for the world’s most complex service provider networks, and crafts solutions designed to meet and exceed our customer’s business requirements.
Responsibilities
Own the customer technical decision maker and create a Technology Roadmap for a Tier‑1 mobility service provider.
Serve as the technical expertise for sales efforts, creating and proposing solutions with the full range of HPE Networking products and solutions.
Develop trusted, long‑lasting relationships with key customer technical decision makers through an in‑depth understanding of customer needs, priorities, organizational structure and decision process.
Lead discussions on virtualization and automation, presenting and demonstrating these concepts to customers.
Interface with internal and external industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development.
Qualifications
Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field, or significant experience in networking technical and pre‑sales activities roles.
Have a minimum of 6+ years of technical professional, pre‑sales/post‑sales work experience.
Have expert level knowledge in routing technologies, including MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, and experience with Security, Automation, Cloud/DC, and Network Virtualization.
Have a history of working with Service Provider networks in a technical/pre‑sales role as a Sales/Systems Engineer and/or Network architecture role.
Hold specific Networking certifications (HPE, Juniper, Cisco, etc. e.g., JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CISSP, CCIE).
Have knowledge and strong curiosity about network automation, network virtualization, agentic AI, and MCP.
Have knowledge in automation using Python, Ansible, Netconf‑YANG, JSON, Openconfig, etc. is desirable.
Be experienced in creating solutions sales offerings spanning multiple product and service portfolios in a very competitive market.
Be an effective, articulate communicator with strong customer‑facing skills who can translate product knowledge into customer’s added business value.
Want to work within a team in a very competitive market, maintaining a hands‑on, customer‑first approach toward your business plan execution.

USD Annual Salary: $146,000.00 - $343,000.00
