As a system design expert and coding professional, you'll own systems end-to-end and continuously develop your technical expertise. Key job responsibilities
Design and implement scalable software solutions that improve Amazon's transportation network, providing meaningful feedback during code reviews and contributing to the full software development lifecycle from scoping to maintenance.
Take ownership of operational excellence by identifying and resolving root causes of operational issues, actively participating in operational support, and executing on opportunities to improve team operations.
Develop and enhance software features for major portions of the team's applications, including new functionality, refactoring, and deprecation work while maintaining high-quality code standards.
Document software functionality, construction, testing operations, security aspects, and architectural context, while actively training new team members on these areas.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business and customer value, ensuring the delivery of solutions that balance customer requirements with team priorities.
A day in the life
Your day begins with a quick team standup where you align on priorities amongst the team projects. Throughout the day, you'll write high-quality code for new features that enhance our transportation analytics platform. You'll collaborate with partner tech teams to implement AI-driven solutions. You'll review pull requests from teammates, providing constructive feedback that elevates code quality across the team, and spend time innovating on behalf of customers to deliver applications and features that delight them.

Basic Qualifications
Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Experienced in delivery AI solutions
