The Role Olive Branch is looking for a Junior Designer to join our team in Thornhill. As Toronto's premier Kosher supermarket, we pride ourselves on quality and speed.

In this role, you won't just be "making flyers"; you will be the visual voice of the store for our weekly sales and daily promotions. You will report directly to a Creative Director with years of national agency grocery experience, offering you high-level mentorship and growth while working in a stable, in-house environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• The Weekly Flyer (50%): You will build and finalize our weekly circulars and "One Day Sale" assets. This requires speed, layout skills, and extreme attention to detail.
• Store Support (50%): Creating in-store signage, product labels, and social media content to support the floor team.
• Quality Control: Each flyer contains hundreds of data points - prices, weights, descriptions, product names - and accuracy is everything. You must be able to catch typos, formatting inconsistencies, and layout issues to ensure all creative assets are polished and client-ready with minimal oversight.

• Detail-Obsessed: You check your work twice. You understand that the wrong price or a typo matters.
• A Quick Learner: Retail moves fast. We often turn on a dime to run same-day promos. You need to be comfortable working at a quick pace without losing your cool.
• A Strong Communicator: You need to listen to understand, ask clarifying questions, and be able to explain your creative ideas.
• Culturally Fluent: Knowledge of the Kosher food landscape and the Jewish community is a major asset. Understanding the holidays and the products we sell will make your job much easier.
• Adobe Ready: You have solid knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. We can teach you our specific workflow, but you should know the tools.
