DEVELOP is seeking a *hands-on Automation Electrical Engineer* to own the electrical design and wiring of the custom machines, robotics systems, and automation equipment we build. This role combines engineering design with practical fieldwork, schematics, panel builds, machine wiring, testing, installs, and troubleshooting.

*What You Will Do *
*Electrical Design & Documentation*
* Create clean, accurate electrical schematics that follow industry and company standards
* Design control panel layouts and select components for reliability, serviceability, and compliance
* Maintain wiring diagrams, revisions, documentation, and change logs
* Build and improve internal wiring standards, SLPs, and SOPs
*Panel Building & Machine Wiring*
* Build high quality electrical cabinets with clean routing, tidy labeling, and organized layouts
* Route and terminate field wiring for robotics, motors, sensors, drives, pneumatics, safety devices, and communication hardware
* Perform I/O checks, safety testing, troubleshooting, and full machine run-offs
*Installs, Testing & Support*
* Assist with machine installs, commissioning, and customer handoff
* Support machines in-house and at customer sites with diagnostics and troubleshooting
* Work closely with mechanical, controls, and software teams to complete machine builds
* Contribute to DEVELOP’s path toward UL certification and standardized electrical compliance
*Minimum Requirements*
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, EET, or related field
* Ability to read and produce schematics and wiring diagrams
* Familiarity with industrial control components and safe wiring practices
* Hands-on comfort with routing, wiring, panel building, and electrical tools
* Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
* Willingness to travel for installs and service
*Preferred Qualifications*
* 2+ years in control panel building, machine wiring, or industrial automation
* Experience wiring robotics, vision systems, or multi-module automated equipment
* Familiarity with UL, NEC, NFPA 79, and similar electrical standards
* Experience troubleshooting electrical issues in the field
* Ability to help define and maintain internal wiring and build standards
* Comfortable performing safety checks and supporting full machine run-offs
