Description
Mission:
Establish a high-trust, values-driven, and performance-oriented culture at IEC Holden's newly acquired Brockville facility (Motor Coils Manufacturing). Partner with site leadership to integrate IEC's people systems, strengthen leadership capability, and embed accountability for engagement, performance, and growth—ensuring the site becomes a Great Place to Work.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultural Integration and Trust-Building: Within 12 months, embed IEC's core values and culture through consistent communication, visible leadership behaviors, and site-wide engagement initiatives.
- Great Place to Work Launch and Engagement: Achieve at least 90% participation and a minimum 10% improvement over baseline survey.
- Leadership Partnership and Accountability: Implement a clear accountability framework and tools for leaders to manage attendance, corrective actions, and performance independently—with HR coaching and support.
- HR Process Implementation and Leverage: Within six months, fully implement IEC's core HR processes—recruitment, onboarding, performance development, and recognition—and ensure they are consistently used and owned by site leaders.
- Union Relationship and Compliance: Within three months, establish constructive, trust-based relationships with union representatives and ensure all HR practices fully align with the collective agreement, fostering collaborative problem-solving and proactive issue resolution.
- Leadership Communication and Recognition: Within 12 months, activate and embed recognition programs, ensuring they are actively used by both leaders and employees, with measurable engagement reflected in participation rates and employee feedback.

- Culture Champion – Embodies IEC's values and actively models them; reinforces culture through daily interactions and decisions.
- Influence and Coaching – Confidently influences site leaders to adopt ownership for people and performance; uses coaching techniques to build leadership maturity.
- Change Management – Guides teams through integration and cultural change with empathy and structure; helps employees adapt to "one IEC."
- Collaboration and Union Relations – Maintains productive relationships across all levels, including union leadership, promoting mutual trust and problem-solving.
- Execution and Follow-Through – Delivers on commitments, operationalizes plans, and ensures processes are embedded, not just announced.
- Analytical and Process Orientation – Uses data, trends, and metrics to inform decision-making and improve workforce outcomes.
- Relevant Industry Experience – Demonstrated experience in manufacturing or unionized environments, with understanding of operational workflows, labor agreements, and employee relations in similar settings.
