Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking for an experienced and reliable Cook to join our Food & Beverage team at Buckhorn & Main Eatery. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook items for both the daily menu and banquet services.
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and kitchen management instructions.
- Review daily requisitions and assist in inventory checks during shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Ensure the kitchen meets all Provincial Health Standards.
- Complete all opening duties, including:
- Turning on exhaust systems before any grills or cooking equipment.
- Unlocking and temperature-checking all cooler and refrigerator units.
- Reporting any issues or malfunctions immediately.
- Preparing for daily service.
- Complete all closing duties, including:
- Shutting down equipment, lights, and exhaust systems.
- Cleaning and securing all storage and walk-in areas.
- Record hours worked at the end of each shift.
- Follow the posted schedule and obtain supervisor approval for any shift changes.
- Activate the alarm system when required.
- Follow all RCR policies, procedures, and the Safety Management Program.
- Perform additional duties as requested by Management.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, resort, or similar environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, organized, and able to maintain focus in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
- Must have Food Safe Level 1 Certificate.

- Competitive wage: $18.50-$21.50/hour dependent on experience
