Highmark Health is seeking a Security Architect for a hybrid role. Employees must be U.S. citizens due to contractual requirements. This position requires working from the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for those within 50 miles of Pittsburgh, Buffalo, or Camp Hill. The Security Architect will develop a security architecture compliant with enterprise technical security control requirements. This includes creating gap analysis documentation and providing technical recommendations to mitigate gaps. The role involves advising on the application of existing security services, researching new security technologies, and implementing security systems. The work covers network security, network defense, operating system security, data protection, and more. Essential responsibilities include enhancing security team competence, determining security requirements, planning and implementing security systems, and supporting compliance to required standards. The role may also involve mentoring peers and providing technical expertise. Required education includes a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security, or Engineering. Preferred education includes a master's degree in Computer Science or related fields. Minimum experience of 5-7 years in architecting solutions and Information Security is required. Preferred experience includes 7-10 years in architecting solutions. Skills include business communication, understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack, knowledge of information security management frameworks, and expertise in encryption technologies and common protocols. Licensure is not required but preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc. Travel requirement is 0%-25%. No language requirements other than English are needed. The position is office-based and involves frequent communication, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment. Pay range is from $78,900 to $147,500, based on various factors including qualifications, experience, and internal peer equity.
