We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our advanced logistics center in San Jose, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure the efficient and safe handling of inventory, supporting all aspects of our distribution operations. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, precise maneuvering skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be handling large quantities of goods, making your role crucial to maintaining workflow and preventing delays. Safety is our top priority, and all operators must adhere strictly to all safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a proven track record of safe operation, and excellent spatial awareness. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with capacity up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
