We are currently hiring for the position of an Electrical Equipment Dismantler at our Ayr, Ontario location. This is a full-time, permanent role with a comprehensive compensation package that includes:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Dismantling and tear down of electrical transformers using various power tools and sorting metals while working in plant
• Sorting ballasts, cleaning materials, PCB sampling and unloading trucks
• Use of overhead crane and forklift to move materials
• Completing applicable paperwork including daily production log
• General housekeeping and other duties as assigned
• Regular travel throughout Ontario when not working in plant including providing transformer oil draining services and Electrical Equipment removal at customer sites
• Follow and adhere to all related company policies and health and safety procedures
• Travel to customer sites and perform Transformer drains at customer sites

Qualifications

• Experience with transformers considered an asset
• Experience using power and hand tools
• Knowledge of electrical equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, pumps and vacuum systems considered an asset
• Mechanically inclined
• Able to obtain a security clearance
• Ability to do some local travel and work longer hours when needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and capable of doing physical work
