What you'll be doing
As a Senior Project Manager, reporting to the Director, Project Delivery, you will be responsible for independent delivery of complex Deposit projects/programs across multiple lines of businesses. The role works with minimal direction on complex projects, providing expert level knowledge of project management principles, standards, and business consulting through considerable project delivery experience. You will lead stakeholder engagement, people change management deliverables, define and complete risk assessment(s), and participate/support in execution of projects.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
- Project Delivery – Deliver and support in delivering priority products, processes, reporting, offers, campaigns, etc. that support our strategy. Lead and manage the People Change Management components of the project. Simplify our end-to-end processes including escalation processes. Incorporate Agile concepts and practices where ever applicable. Support financial management reviews and reporting on projects.
- Relationship Management – Develop and manage internal relationships with CIBC's lines of business and other infrastructure groups, as necessary, to deliver strategically important projects within the approved budgets and timelines. Actively seek and evaluate opportunities to improve existing processes and work with key stakeholders to implement changes where appropriate. Work with partners within CIBC on a cross functional basis to influence strategic direction and enable the installation of effective Personal Banking strategies.
- Collaboration – Help internal partners (including executives) make informed decisions about the development of programs, products, and services. Work closely with teams as you work toward a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary.
- Project Leadership – Lead and mentor junior/intermediate members of the team in support of project work packages deliverables. Performs a subject matter leadership role to Project Delivery on project related activities. Contributes to development of the intellectual capital as well as a general base of insight and superior knowledge of the team.
- Strategic Development & Execution – Oversee the development, testing and implementation of multiple complex project that impact Personal Banking project. Participate, support complex business requirements and occasionally capture light business requirements. Define and manage resource requirements and allocations, monitor and improve quality, and ensure 'best practice' development techniques. Make recommendations on the ongoing viability of a project plan based functionality, budget, and timelines.

- You can demonstrate experience. 3+ years' experience in end-to-end Project Management and Project Delivery including Agile principles. Experience and knowledge in People Change Management methodology, principles, and tools. PMP designation is an asset.
