Pilates Instructor/Trainer

Part-time: Evenings and Weekends.
Studio available to build private clientele: Mon - Thur 5:00pm - 9:00pm / Sun 9:00am - 5:00pm

Private Pilates: $42 - $62 / hour (depending on experience / session type)
Group Mat Pilates: $40 - $48 / hour (depending on experience)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver (JCC) is a non-profit community centre whose mission is to provide leadership in cultural, recreational, educational and social activities. While we are the centre and heart of the Jewish community, we are open to all and serve the community at large in the Oakridge area of Vancouver.

The JCC offers a beautiful, fully equipped private Pilates Studio. Due to the demand for Private and Semi Private Pilates sessions, we are expanding our team of Pilates Instructors The Pilates Instructor is responsible for ensuring enjoyable experiences for participants and clients and delivering high quality pilates training for members and non-members of the JCC.

Opportunities to teach evening mat Pilates classes to help build a client base.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote a friendly and welcoming environment for the Members.
• Conduct private and semi-private Pilates sessions using Pilates Apparatus (Reformer, Tower, Chair, Ladder) including assessment, program design, instruction, tracking and monitoring progress, and motivating participants.
• Maintain a clean and tidy studio; report any equipment that may need attention to the supervisor.
• Communicate and collaborate with the Fitness and Pilates teams

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• A valid Comprehensive Pilates certification (Mat and Apparatus)
• A strong personal Pilates practice
• A genuine passion for helping clients build strength and confidence
• Professional and reliable
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain within 3 months of start date)
• Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

The successful candidate will be required to clear a vulnerable sector criminal record check.
