Hygate Living is a new, exciting brand for young-minded seniors, offering a premiere residence that includes Seniors' Apartments, Independent Serviced Living, and Assisted Living. Our mission is to promote independence among residents through a variety of engaging amenities and activities.

We are looking for outgoing, positive and professional individuals who are interested in interacting with fascinating and wonderful residents, and being a part of "Team Hygate".

Responsibilities

As a Dining Room Server, you will be responsible for creating a fantastic dining experience for our Residents. This includes but not limited to:

• greeting residents and visitors, and providing assistance with seating, where required

• taking food and beverage orders and delivering in a timely manner

• monitoring the dining area to ensure residents have what they need and are enjoying their meal

• work alongside cooks and dishwashers in the back-of-house area to keep everything running smoothly

• clean the dining room and turn tables over between meals

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills
• Amazing interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with difficult situations.
• Present themselves professionally.
• Minimum Grade 12 education (supplemented with training/coursework and/or practical experience in general office procedures is helpful).
• Ontario Smart Serve certification
• Work well under pressure and can effectively manage priorities and multi-task.
• A desire to have fun and be part of a great place for people to live
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the dining services.
