GENERAL LABOURER

The General Labourer is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations in the consumables and fastener area. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory flow, supporting fabrication tasks, and ensuring the consumables area remains efficient, safe, and well-organized.

Reporting to: Equipment and Supplies Coordinator

Duties:

• Pick and stage fasteners for upcoming jobs according to project schedules and deadlines.
• Sort, inspect, and process returned fasteners; restock items into inventory as appropriate.
• Monitor fastener inventory levels and notify the appropriate supervisor when stock needs replenishment.
• Receive incoming materials and organize them into designated storage locations.
• Cut threaded rods to specified lengths based on project requirements.
• Fabricate L-anchors, including cutting, bending, and threading materials as needed.
• Build wooden crates and perform other miscellaneous fabrication or shop tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Support additional operational needs and assist other teams when required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift heavy materials (50lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to completing work accurately and on time.
• Willingness to take on new tasks and support various operational needs as required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools and shop equipment is an asset.
• Previous experience in material handling, fabrication, or shop operations preferred.
