Veterinarian

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to a diverse range of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. Laboratory experience is preferred to support diagnostic procedures and enhance patient care.

Duties

• Examine animals to diagnose their health issues and determine appropriate treatment plans
• Perform medical procedures including vaccinations, surgeries, and dental care
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress during recovery
• Maintain accurate medical records for all animals treated
• Educate pet owners on health management, preventive care, and treatment options
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
• Conduct laboratory tests and interpret results to assist in diagnosis (laboratory experience preferred)
• Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education activities

Skills

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution or equivalent
• Valid veterinary license to practice in Ontario or ability to obtain one
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform a variety of medical procedures
• Laboratory experience is highly desirable for diagnostic support
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
• Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle diverse cases effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,061.51-$135,291.73 per year
