Material Handler/Labourer Position

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our facility. This role involves moving, organizing, and preparing materials for production or shipment while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments using forklifts
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and handling of materials
• Move materials efficiently within the warehouse, adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area to promote safety and operational efficiency
• Support warehouse distribution activities, including order fulfillment and stock replenishment
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory management and process improvements
• Perform heavy lifting as required, following proper ergonomic practices
• Perform other laboring duties as requested and needed on sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or related fields
• Familiarity with heavy equipment such as forklifts, crane operation, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and mechanical systems relevant to warehousing
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment
• Mechanical aptitude or construction experience is a plus
• Valid certification for forklift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
