Welder/Fabricator - Production

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling components for heavy-duty forestry and trailer equipment. The role involves quality workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to read fabrication drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel components
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and welding/fabrication drawings
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble structural components
• Use cutting tools, grinders, plasma cutters, torches, and related equipment
• Finish, deburr, and inspect welded components for quality
• Work collaboratively with production staff
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow company safety standards and procedures

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum 1–2 years of welding/fabrication experience (formal training or on-the-job)
• Ability to read drawings and measurements accurately
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with steel structures an asset
• Knowledge of hydraulics and heavy equipment assembly considered a strong advantage
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs

Additional Assets (not mandatory but preferred):

• Experience with forestry equipment or trailer manufacturing
• Knowledge of hydraulic cylinders, pins, bushings, and boom structures
• Welding certification or trade background
• Mechanical aptitude

Work Environment:

• Indoor manufacturing facility
• Standing for extended periods
• Use of protective welding gear provided by the employer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
