How you'll contribute
The Dispatcher is an existing vacancy that orchestrates the delivery and return of equipment within a dedicated geographic region. With a focus on safety and customer satisfaction, it's important to really listen, respond quickly, and show you care. We want every customer to have a good experience so we do our best to keep our delivery trucks on schedule and on time. Responsibilities include:
- Use our software and dispatch our truck fleet throughout a prescribed geographic region to various client and internal sites, fulfilling requests for Heavy/Medium Construction Equipment, Heating Equipment, and Scaffold/Temporary Fencing products.
- Use our Rental Management System to process delivery and pick up orders for clients and internal sites
- Communicate delayed orders, partial pick-up or equipment set-up with customers
- Assist in the daily productivity, compliance and driving safety using DSI and Samsara.
- Assist customers and employees to troubleshoot onsite logistics issues to maximize productivity.
- Ensure all trucks have accurate inventory counts, preventing stock-outs and maximizing efficiency
- Cultivate strong relationships across the organization and with our client partners by providing an excellent level of service
- Write and close contracts, invoice equipment pick-ups, and make outbound calls to our clients
- Summarize and report daily productivity to your supervisor
- Arrange fleet maintenance and service
- Adhere to and promote our Company Safety Policies, including wearing all required PPE
- Complete other administrative duties as assigned

What you bring to the table
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G-Class Driver's License and clean abstract.
- Minimum 1 year experience in dispatching, office administration and/or Office Management. Preference given to candidates with experience in equipment rental services, construction, home improvement centers, or similar background
- Strong computer and MS Office proficiency. Prior experience using DSI and Axiom Rental Management or similar systems a bonus
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, effectively able to deal with internal staff and clients with minimal supervision
- Able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic technical and trouble shooting skills is an asset.
