Job Summary:
Join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington, as a Receiving Clerk. This role is essential for the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our warehouse operations. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all shipments. Your tasks will include unloading trucks, cross-referencing received items with purchase orders, identifying and reporting any damages or discrepancies, and entering data into our inventory management system. Accuracy and timeliness are key to this role, ensuring that our stock levels are up-to-date and that materials are ready for distribution or storage. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments with precision and care.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of goods against shipping documents and purchase orders.
  • Identify and document any damages, defects, or discrepancies found in shipments.
  • Enter receiving data accurately into the company's inventory management system.
  • Label and prepare received items for staging or put-away.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock and surrounding area.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve any receiving issues.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed (certification and training provided).
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and demonstrate proper use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in warehouse receiving or logistics preferred.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and data entry.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to protocols.
