Are you an experienced Forklift Operator seeking a challenging opportunity in San Diego, California? We are hiring a diligent individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and stage products within our facility. This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring efficient throughput of goods. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory control. Safety is paramount in this role; you must be knowledgeable about forklift safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized work area, and consistently wear the required PPE. This position involves significant physical activity, including lifting and stacking items, so good physical condition is a must. We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, and possesses excellent attention to detail. Experience with various types of forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models, is preferred. You will be working closely with a team to meet production targets and contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from trailers and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory counts and discrepancy resolution.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals in logistics.
