We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for our Columbus, Ohio distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and preparing goods for shipment. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide all necessary PPE. - Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
Must be capable of performing frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs. Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is highly preferred. Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE. Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor. Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexible availability, including potential overtime and weekend shifts.
