We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our San Diego, California logistics hub. In this critical role, you will operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials within our warehouse. This position requires precision, experience, and a deep understanding of safety protocols. You will be essential in managing inventory flow, loading and unloading trucks, and supporting other warehouse functions. We provide all necessary PPE and maintain a strong emphasis on safety compliance. This role involves physical activity in addition to operating machinery. - Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and retrieve items from high shelving units.
- Perform routine checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and location verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and adhere to PPE requirements strictly.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
Valid forklift operator certification or license. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs. Must have a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Experience in a logistics or distribution environment is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Must commit to following all safety protocols and using required PPE. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
