We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and our warehouse operations run smoothly. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory records, and assisting with stock put-away and retrieval. This position is vital to our logistics operations, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of inventory management principles. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to identify and resolve any issues that may affect inventory accuracy. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE , is essential. While this role is primarily focused on record-keeping and analysis, there may be occasions where you will need to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of items up to 30 lbs. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers.
- Assist with the receiving and put-away of incoming stock.
- Monitor stock levels and identify items for reordering or replenishment.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure the proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE .
- Support overall logistics operations through accurate inventory management.
- Assist with investigations related to inventory damage or loss.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, particularly inventory management.
- Ability to perform tasks involving occasional lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to use PPE .
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
