We have an immediate opening for a dedicated Receiving Clerk at our state-of-the-art distribution center in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering data into our inventory system. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing lists, noting any discrepancies.
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming products for damage or defects.
- Accurately record all received items into the company's inventory management system.
- Sort and stage received inventory for proper distribution or put-away.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 45 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety standards and consistently wearing required PPE.
