Our Detroit, Michigan facility is seeking a diligent Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate stock levels. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency of our warehouse operations and supporting our Logistics goals. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and updating inventory records in our system. A strong understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices is essential. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper receiving, storage, and shipping of goods. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, including proper labeling and storage of inventory, is paramount, and adherence to all Safety regulations is required. The use of appropriate PPE will be mandatory. While heavy Lifting is not the primary focus, occasional lifting may be necessary to access or move stock. Responsibilities include generating inventory reports, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items, and recommending improvements to inventory management processes.
