At Walmart International, we are looking for a React Native/Mobile developer for a key position in Store Inventory management team. The right individual for this role must be capable of building mobile applications using React Native framework. We are embracing Open-Source technology using React-Native, React.js to build a front end, mobile experience and cloud native backend services using Java. In our team, you will work with talented engineers across our platforms including mobile engineers, backend service engineers, UX Designer and product managers to shape our road map for Store Inventory Management. Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few. What You'll Do
Work in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, gathering requested information, writing, and developing code, conducting unit testing. Communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders. Working with the architects, documents and develops best practices for development, and deployment of applications, and works with members to foster growth within the team. Implement user interface components for JavaScript-based web and mobile applications using React ecosystem. Build app and UI components from prototypes and wireframes Use Native APIs for tight integrations with both platforms
Android and iOS Write automated tests to ensure error-free code and performance Improve front-end performance by eliminating performance bottlenecks Create front-end modules with maximum code reusability and efficiency Predicts application development requirements based on changes in underlying architecture Utilize AI tools to optimize code and decrease time-to-market for features Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. What You'll Bring
Over 3+ years of experience in building mobile apps Advanced knowledge of front-end design patterns, data structures and algorithms. Strong expertise in mobile development using react native. In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages Strong knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state Well-versed in a variety of React Native software and technologies such as Jest, Enzyme, ESLint Strong expertise in integrating analytics, Crashlytics and measuring CPU and battery utilizations for mobile application. Good expertise in creating functional automation testing using Appium or other open-source automation framework Strong expertise in ReactJS and Redux technologies Strong expertise in GraphQL Clear Communication, including the ability to create functional charts. Ability to multitask between several different requirements and features concurrently. Experience with cloud native technology, CI/CD Experience with third-party libraries and APIs Experience with AI development tools such as Github Copilot Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude. Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area. Preferred Qualifications
