We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in the safe and efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be operating forklifts to transport goods, load and unload trailers, and assist in various warehouse operations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented logistics environment. You will ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with company policies and industry safety standards, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting is essential for this position. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and other designated areas.
- Inspect equipment daily and perform basic maintenance checks.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including order picking and packing.
- Ensure that work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures for logistics operations.
- Ability to handle lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Report any safety concerns or operational issues to management.
