We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator for our state-of-the-art logistics facility in San Francisco, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise efficiently and safely within the warehouse. Your precision and expertise are crucial for maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring the seamless flow of goods through our distribution center. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. This position requires a high level of responsibility and attention to detail. We provide a supportive work environment, comprehensive training on our specific equipment, and all necessary PPE. Expect to be actively involved in the movement of goods, which may involve some lifting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Place merchandise in designated storage locations accurately.
- Conduct regular inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and system updates.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and smooth logistics flow.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform tasks involving occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
