Join our logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa, as a Forklift Operator. We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and manage the movement of goods within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from designated areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to Safety is essential, and you must be proficient in operating various types of forklifts and adhering to all operational procedures. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. The ability to perform heavy Lifting and work in a physically demanding environment is required. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Transport goods to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Follow all warehouse Safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure all loads are secure and stable before transport.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or license.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse Safety.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
