We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing, processing, and verifying outgoing shipments. This includes receiving shipping orders, confirming product information, selecting appropriate packaging materials, and generating shipping labels and documentation. You will also coordinate with carriers, track shipments, and resolve any shipping-related issues that may arise. A keen eye for detail is essential to minimize errors and maintain inventory accuracy. Strong communication skills are needed to interact effectively with internal departments and external partners. This position requires adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling materials. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is a must. Key responsibilities include: Inspecting outgoing goods for damage and accuracy. Preparing shipment documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms. Coordinating with transportation providers to schedule pickups. Maintaining accurate shipping records and updating the inventory management system. Ensuring all shipments comply with company policies and industry regulations. Adhering to strict safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE. Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with shipping software are a plus. Physical demands involve regular lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
