We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This role is central to our warehouse operations, ensuring that all outbound shipments are accurately prepared, processed, and dispatched on time. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipment details, generating shipping labels and documentation, coordinating with carriers, and preparing orders for transit. Maintaining a safe and orderly workspace is a priority, and adherence to all Safety guidelines and the use of provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) is mandatory. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. While not heavily physically demanding, occasional Lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. Experience with shipping software and knowledge of Logistics processes are a significant advantage. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries. Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming shipments for accuracy.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing and labeling.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Track shipments and provide status updates as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and use of PPE .
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management.
- Operate shipping software and other related equipment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
