We are seeking experienced Reach Truck Operators to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this specialized role, you will operate a reach truck to efficiently move, stack, and retrieve merchandise within our distribution center. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring optimal use of warehouse space. This position is vital to our logistics operations, requiring precision, speed, and an unwavering commitment to safety . The ideal candidate will possess a valid reach truck operator certification, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for performing routine inspections of your equipment and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times to ensure your well-being and compliance with regulations. While your primary focus is operating the reach truck, you may also be required to assist with other warehouse tasks, including occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on reach truck and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Ensure proper handling of all products to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Valid Reach Truck Operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating forklifts and reach trucks in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in lifting and maneuvering materials safely using a reach truck.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Unwavering commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods when required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
