We are seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Sacramento, California. This role is critical for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and dispatched on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, verifying order details, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, excellent administrative skills, and a commitment to accuracy. You will work closely with our fulfillment and warehouse staff to ensure a smooth and efficient shipping process. - Process and prepare outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order details against shipping documentation.
- Generate shipping labels and manifests using shipping software.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Inspect outgoing packages for accuracy and damage.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding shipping status and issues.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other logistics and warehouse tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may include some Lifting of packages.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and logistics best practices is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
