We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the efficient operation of our logistics and distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory, verifying accuracy against purchase orders.
- Store products in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring the security of goods.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety and proper handling of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
